About this model
<p>My wife bought glass hummingbird feeders that suction cup to the windows. The glass pods have rubber caps and plastic bee guards. The rubber caps deteriorated in the sun, and we could not find replacements. We had to buy another set just for the caps, so I used a good cap and glass pod to design a replacement. Also, sometimes Downy and Hairy woodpeckers would remove the bee guards so they would go missing. So, I also designed a replacement bee guard. The replacement bee guards fit much tighter, and the woodpeckers can't remove them. I printed the bee guards and caps in TPU with supports. With your slicer insert a pause at the layer just before the cap petals print and put a little glue stick on the last support layer. This makes it easier to remove the TPU petal supports. So far, they are working great and holding up to the sunlight very well.</p>
