About this model
<p>I occasionally build LED string lights using the ESP-01, but the lack of a case has always bothered me. I used <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-link" href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4753935">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4753935</a>, but it has a “small” problem: it’s disposable—the tabs snap off when you try to open it... And unfortunately, sometimes you have to flash the ESP-01 manually. I tried the remix <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-link" href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6381830">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6381830</a> and decided to tweak it. I reduced the height, since the case was a bit too big in the original version, and it became even bigger in the remix, I replaced the heat-in inserts with screws. And I restored the connector mounting hole from the original version (I already had them, so…).<br>I think it turned out pretty well.<br>I’m using micro-USB connectors on a 14.5mm×14.5mm board. <br>The ESP-01 board on top of the WS2812B RGB LED adapter<br>Four screws with a diameter of 1.5mm, a length of 15mm, and a head size of 5.5mm × 2mm</p><p>Solder the connector board to the adapter board using two wires. Place them in position and secure them with a small amount of hot glue (the connector should be fitted snugly enough so as not to cause problems when repeatedly plugging and unplugging the USB cable).
