About this model
<p>This is a replacement lampshade for my old Ikea Klabb lamp. This is a one piece print with a central hub that's raised inside the cylinder of the lamp shade, connected with a smooth, continuous joint.</p><p><strong>Printing notes</strong></p><ul><li><p>Tree supports recommended to give a firm connection to bed</p></li><li><p>Print vertically</p></li><li><p>I used <code>Translucent Green PLA (DARKER)</code> from Siddament : <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-link" href="https://siddament.com.au/products/translucent-green-pla">https://siddament.com.au/products/translucent-green-pla</a></p></li><li><p>Recommend a translucent or filament otherwise the shade would block most of the light</p></li><li><p>Took about 20 hours and 500+g filament on MK4/S. I didn't use variable layer height as I wanted to use tree supports</p></li><li><p>Print out the <code>shadehub</code> part to test fit your lamp before committing to the big print. May fit other lamps too, measure before printing</p></li><li><p>Two STLs are supplied: </p><ul><li><p><code>shade.stl</code> Plain (smooth) geometry</p></li><li><p><code>shade_texturised.stl</code> Added a cool texture using the awesome <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-link" href="https://bumpmesh.com/">https://bumpmesh.com/</a> from CNC Kitchen.
