About this model
<p><strong>Surface Mount Box - <em>45 degree camera angle</em></strong></p><p>This is my second attempt at a surface mount enclosure for mounting a Ring Wired Doorbell 4K Elite camera at a 45 degree offset next to a door.</p><p>Ring's instructions suggest using a recessed wall box, then mounting the camera flush, however, for my installation, this would result in a significant portion of the video image to be of the siding next to my front door.</p><p>I put some mounting holes in the rear of the box, though in the end I just drilled additional ones where needed!</p><p>The hole for ethernet cable was not precise, and I added a second hole for the electric door bell wires.</p><p><strong>3D Printing</strong></p><ul><li><p>ASA filament - for outside, and UV resilience</p><ul><li><p>I used a grey color to match the siding on my house</p></li></ul></li><li><p>15% infill - gyroid pattern</p></li><li><p>8mm outer brim</p></li><li><p>Prusa textured bed, cleaned with IPA, then I used hairspray for adhesion</p></li></ul><p></p>
