About this model
<p>When I bought the original 3/4" Y-Strainer, Clear UPVC Sediment True Union Y-Strainer Stainless Steel 40 Mesh and PVC 20 Mesh, Socket Female [Socket 3/4 Inch] on Amazon, it came with a super fine steel mesh and a white basket.</p><p>The steel mesh was way too fine, so I pulled it out. The white removable basket was still too fine, so I drilled a couple of holes in it, but they were ugly; see pics.</p><p>This solves that. Open tube with a flange, 3.4 mm perforations. Slides in and out of the strainer and fits the housing I have.</p><p>Print: flange on the bed, 0.2 mm layers, no supports, brim. I used ASA. No carbon- or metal-fill needed.</p><p>Note: this is a coarse filter, not a replacement for 40-mesh stainless. Fine sediment will go through. OpenSCAD source is in the files if you want different hole size.</p>
