About this model

I've been trying ways to make flexible fabric. This is the thinnest flag I could make. Dimensions are 240.4 x 120.4 x 0.9 mm. The print won't be perfect as the white part around the maple leaf is printed 0.3 mm above the bed.

Slicing (.3mf file supplied for PrusaSlicer)

Use 0.15-mm layers.

Set 'skirt loops' to 0 in print settings.

Slice, then add the colour changes at 0.3 and 0.6 mm. There should be two layers of red, then two layers of white, then two layers of red. I used PLA.

Printing

This is VERY delicate, so any imperfections will be more obvious!

After the first two red layers, you may want to check for and CAREFULLY remove any stray 'threads', avoiding lifting the print!

Change to white filament and ensure the nozzle is clean. (I hold a wire brush below the nozzle before hitting 'color changed correctly'.) Print the two white layers.

Change to red, clean up any white threads, then print the top two red layers.

Finally clean up any red threads before the print cools.

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Europe for our Canadian friends!

How it works
- You pick the model; we fetch the designer’s file and print it in our UK workshop.
- Every piece is hand-finished and quality-checked before it ships, like everything in our shop.
- Printed in PLA, a plant-based material. More about our material.
