About this model
<p>This is a parametric low-poly Voronoi pumpkin box designed specifically with Prusa ColorMix in mind. The pumpkin is not just a decorative model. It is a functional box consisting of three parts: the Pumpkin Body, the Pumpkin Lid, and a separate Pumpkin Stem. The lid is centered by an integrated lip, and the stem is connected to the lid with a peg-and-hole joint. The Voronoi pattern is part of the actual geometry. The cells follow the complete pumpkin surface, while the characteristic pumpkin ribs remain visible underneath the pattern. The facets are deliberately planar to create the low-poly appearance.</p><h3>From an AI concept to a parametric Blender model</h3><p>The project started with an initial visual concept generated with ChatGPT: a low-poly pumpkin with a Voronoi color pattern. Based on this concept, Claude was used to develop a parametric Python generator for Blender 5.2. Instead of manually modeling one fixed pumpkin, the Python script generates the complete model from a configurable set of parameters. Among other things, the diameter, height, number of ribs, groove depth, number, and randomness of Voronoi cells, wall and floor thickness, lid position, tolerances, and stem geometry can be adjusted before generating the model.
