About this model
<p>Spin-and-Mix Tops are nine small spinning tops that show how ColorMix works. The flat face of each top is a pie chart of pure filaments in the recipe's ratio. The rim, cone and stem are printed in the matching mixed colour. Spin the top and the pie blurs into a single colour you can compare with the rim.</p><p>THE NINE RECIPES</p><p>1. Green: Cyan + Yellow 1:1</p><p>2. Orange: Magenta + Yellow 1:1</p><p>3. Blue: Cyan + Magenta 1:1</p><p>4. Coral: Magenta + Yellow 3:1</p><p>5. Amber: Magenta + Yellow 1:3</p><p>6. Lime: Cyan + Yellow 1:3</p><p>7. Pink: Magenta + White 1:3</p><p>8. Deep teal: Cyan + Black 1:1</p><p>9. Olive grey: Cyan + Magenta + Yellow 1:1:1</p><p>WHY IT SUITS COLORMIX</p><p>- Spinning mixes colour over time and the printer mixes it over layers. Putting the two side by side shows how close they get.</p><p>- The face is flat, where layer mixing does not work, so it uses pure filaments only. The mixed colour is kept to the rim, cone and stem.</p><p>- Top 9 mixes Cyan, Magenta and Yellow into an olive grey, which shows why the set includes Black.</p><p>PRINTING AND ASSEMBLY</p><p>- Bodies print face down, so each pie chart is a clean first layer. Stems print standing up. No supports.</p><p>- Each top is a separate object, so you can print one or all nine. The full plate is 136 x 169 mm.</p><p>- Push the stem's pin into the hole in the face until the collar seats. The hole is 5.2 mm and the pin tapers from 5.15 to 4.9 mm. Add a drop of glue if it is…
